Single-shot pump-probe technique using mirror array

In this work, a novel single-shot pump-probe technique based on mirror array is proposed, which can be used to investigate the dynamics of nonlinear absorption with a single-shot femtosecond laser. Using this unique mirror array, the dispersion of femtosecond pulse laser caused by time delay can be avoided and the delay time can be increased effectively. Additionally, the energy requirements of the femtosecond laser are relatively low compared with conventional single-shot pump-probe technique. The validity of this technique is demonstrated by investigating the nonlinear absorption dynamics in ZnSe and symmetrical phenoxazinium bromine salt with 220 fs pulses at a wavelength of 515 nm.
