Carrier concentration dependency of plasma frequency in SiInZnO/Ag/SiInZnO transparent multilayer

Optical properties of amorphous oxide/metal/amorphous oxide (OMO) multilayers have been investigated in visible-infrared (Vis-IR) region depending on the change of carrier concentration. Free carrier density was considered to be one of the most dominant parameter to affect both the optical and electrical properties of OMO multilayers. Free carrier density distribution in OMO multilayer was analyzed by electrostatic Poisson equation. OMO with various thicknesses of middle Ag layers has been fabricated. Optical transmittance and carrier concentration were characterized to investigate the relationship between the optical property and the electrical property of OMOs by fitting experimental results with a simple and effective math model.
