This special issue of Law, Probability and Risk contains three key-note papers that were presented at an international colloquium on the theory and methodology of legal evidence, on 26 April 2018, in the Faculty of Law at Lund University in Sweden. A common feature of all three papers is that they use Bayesian methodology in the evaluation of legal evidence and discuss the usefulness of this methodology in relation to specific legal issues. For each paper, a scholar was invited to the colloquium to comment on the paper, and one of these comments has also been included in this special issue.
