Simulation of electrooptical experiments in liquids

Abstract The paper describes the simulation of real electrooptical measurements of prebreakdown processes in nitrobenzene. The developed mathematical model corresponds to the geometric and electrical characteristics of the simulated experiments, which allows solving the inverse problem of recovering the process parameters in the tip zone by solving the direct problem. Visualization of the matrix of the computed intensity values allowed us to obtain a picture of the Kerr fringes. The developed modeling method performs estimation of the electric field distribution in the interelectrode gap on the kerrogram. Calculated kerrograms were compared with experimental ones.
