This special issue on materials for personalized medicine, guest‐edited by Natalie Artzi, features the considerations in the design of materials for delivery of therapies and for diagnostics, and the development and manufacturing of biomaterials for medicine, to stimulate and inspire many to push their research programs forward. The collaboration of engineers with clinicians and scientists should eventually help better the lives of patients and the prospects for precision medicine to materialize.
