An 18-year-old woman presented at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (Rishikesh, India) in November, 2019, with excessive itching all over her body. Clinical examination revealed hyperpigmented macules and papules, with a few of them showing central scaling, and atrophy widely distributed from scalp to toe. Rugose thickening of the palms (tripe palms) with an accentuation of the normal dermatoglyphic ridges and sulci was also noted ( ). The patient was initially managed with systemic anti-histaminic and topical emollients, but the itching was recalcitrant to any sort of treatment.
