Passively Q-switched Nd:GSGG laser at 936.3 nm

An efficient continuous-wave (CW) and pulse Nd:GSGG laser at 936.3 nm is reported with the help of a simple and compact two-mirror cavity. The CW power at 936.3 nm is 2421 mW at a pump power of 10.1 W with a conversion efficiency of 23.7 %. In the pulse regime, a passively Q-switched quasi-three energy Nd:GSGG at 936.3 nm is firstly achieved. The maximum peak power reaches 2.29 kW with an output power of 1089 mW and the narrowest pulse width of 15.3 ns.
