An experimental assessment of the reliability of a mathematical model and software for calculating the phase composition of steelmaking slags is given. It is established that the model proposed and the software developed may be used during modification of the slag chemical composition after furnace treatment of steel to reduce slag corrosion of a metallurgical unit lining and to suppress the effect of slag silicate decomposition.
