A Novel Method for Constructing VLC Equalizer With Active-Passive Hybrid Network

The previous equalizers in VLC were designed from the bottom up approach. We proposed a top-down approach to design an ideal equalizer for VLC. This method has great universality and can be applied to the most VLC system. We set up an experimental VLC link to verify our proposed method. The 3-dB bandwidth of the VLC link was extended from 30MHz to 600MHz. The highest real-time NRZ-OOK data rate achieved was 1.35Gbps with a BER of 8.8x10e-5 based on a single phosphorescent whitxe LED.
