Quinolines and their derivatives are promising leads for drug discovery, material applications, and catalysis. In the past decade, C(sp3)‐H functionalization of 2‐methyl azaarenes, particularly 2‐methyl quinolines, has become one of the easiest synthetic routes to new chemical libraries of quinolines. We review the synthetic endeavors in C(sp3)‐H functionalization of 2‐methylquinolines.
