Abstract Ultra-small nanoparticles can pass into a dynamic amorphous state. In this state, they have new physical properties that are promising for use in the development of new technologies. The present article is devoted to the determination of physical conditions under which binary alloy nanoparticles undergo a phase transition in a dynamic amorphous state. A method to calculate the critical size and the critical temperature of binary systems was developed. The concentration dependence of the critical parameters of transition to this state for nanoparticles of Ag–Au and Cu–Ni alloys was calculated. It was shown for the first time that the critical parameters can be controlled by changing the composition of the binary alloy. The results obtained are consistent with those available in the literature.
