Organotin phosphates [(n-Bu2Sn)2(LH)2(O2NO)2] (1), [(Me3SnLH)2(Me3Sn(Cl)LH2)2]·(LH)2·8CH3OH (2), [(Me3Sn)8(L)4(OH2)4]·2CH3CN (3), and [Me3Sn(LH)]n·nCH3OH (4) were prepared at room temperature by the reaction of a sterically hindered ligand, 2,6-dibenzhydryl-4-isopropylphenyl dihydrogen phosphate (LH2), with various organotin starting materials. Both molecular compounds [1 (dinuclear), 2 (tetranuclear), 3 (octanuclear)] and a one-dimensional coordination polymer (4) were isolated. The single crystal X-ray diffraction studies on these compounds revealed significant supramolecular interactions in their solid state mediated through a variety of secondary interactions including CH—π interactions.
