Correction to "Effects of Dielectric Inhomogeneity and Electrostatic Correlation on the Solvation Energy of Ions in Liquids".

The original article included typos as follows: (1) The slope 0.6614 of the original linear-square fitting function was a typographical error. The correct linear-square fitting function should be given by C = 0.06614εr + 0.9909 in both Figure 1 and the main text. (2) The second term in eq 3 should be divided by 4. This factor leads to the correct equation(3)Additionally, C, εr, and q in eqs 1 and 2 were scaled as , , and and redefined as C, εr, and q in eq 3. The q in γ is the absolute value of the dimensionless q value. Accordingly, [C] in Figure 1 is the reciprocal length and thus [Å–1]. However, all the original calculations were performed using the correct values and units. These changes arise merely from typographical errors. Thus, there are no changes in the final results, discussion, and conclusion. The author acknowledges Prof. Maximilian Kohns (Technische Universität Kaiserslautern) for kindly discussing the present errata and the reproduction of the results. This article has not yet been cited by other publications.
