With increased demand for carrying out critical operations in unpredictable environments, critical adaptive distributed embedded systems will play a key role in future cyberphysical systems. Based on a flexible real-time Ethernet network, we propose a complete architecture that includes mechanisms to deal with faults for high reliability.
