I would like to congratulate Md Yusof et al (1) on an excellent, large‐scale study, focusing attention to an important but underestimated clinical problem in autoimmune rheumatic disease patients (AIRD) treated with B‐cell targeted therapies (BCTT). Their data confirms that secondary hypogammaglobulinemia can be an important clinical problem in this group. The commitment of the clinicians in following recommendations for BCTT monitoring is admirable, whereby very high rates of immunoglobulin measurements were achieved in routine clinical settings.
