The Royal College of Pathologists has barred its president elect, Peter Furness, from taking office after a disciplinary panel convened by the college upheld allegations of misconduct against him.
Furness, 64, who was due to take over as president in November, is a consultant histopathologist at Leicester Royal Infirmary and honorary professor of renal pathology at Leicester University.
