In article number 1900110 by Juan Pablo Esquivel and co‐workers, bioderived and sustainable biopolymer membranes (BioPEMs) are synthesized from biopolymers like chitosan, cellulose, and starch. These BioPEMs bring forth advantages in performance, sustainability, and cost, presenting a high ionic conductivity as well as good chemical and mechanical stability. These results demonstrate BioPEMs' capability to improve performance of biodegradable batteries in transient applications.
