Walid Keyrouz is a computer scientist in the Software and Systems Group of the Information Technology Laboratory at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Dr Keyrouz received his MS and PhD from Carnegie Mellon University. His first involvement with high-performance computing (HPC) was in his master’s thesis which analyzed the use of array processors and multiple instruction multiple data (MIMD) machines for finite element implementations. Before joining National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), he was a research scientist at Schlumberger and a professor of Computer Science at the American University in Beirut, Lebanon.
