Effect of process parameters on the roundness of GH3030 continuously variable wall conical rotatory part formed by power spinning

In order to improve the roundness of continuously variable wall conical rotatory parts, this paper aims to achieve precision forming of such sheet-metal casing part. The true stress-strain equation of GH3030 superalloy at normal temperature is established by experimental methods. On this basis, a power spinning finite element model about GH3030 superalloy continuously variable wall conical rotatory is established. Besides the effect of process parameters on the roundness of GH3030 continuously variable wall conical rotatory part, which is formed by power spinning, is analyzed. In conclusion, the mean and standard deviation of the roundness error of the outer surface of the conical increase gradually as the mandrel rotational velocity increases, decreasing first and then increasing with the increase of the roller nose radius. It also increases first and decreases with the increase of the roller mounting angle. The mean of the roundness error decreases first and increases while the standard deviation of the roundness error increases first and then decreases, as the roller feed rate increases. This influence factors are synthesized and optimized, and the roundness error is verified by experimental test. The research results provide a theoretical basis for improving the forming quality of continuously variable wall conical rotatory.
