Emulsion polymerization using a deep eutectic solvent (DES) as continuous phase was performed for the first time. Considering that the electrolytes concentration in a DES is much higher than the one required to cause catastrophic coagulation in the analogous aqueous colloidal system, this result is notable and interesting.
