Heterovalent substitution allows predictive control of luminescent centers and enables optimized performances of LED phosphors. Recent progresses on designing phosphors with high quantum efficiency, improved thermal stability and controllable excitation/emission properties are introduced in article number 1901608 by Lixin Ning, Zhiguo Xia and co‐workers. The cover image illustrates the way by Lu3+ substitution to change the local structures of Eu2+ in doped K2HfSi3O9 leading to the appearance of green emission with increased intensity.
