Fabrication of CuCo2S4 nanosheet/carbon cloth as a flexible electrode for high-performance electro-catalysis

Abstract CuCo2S4 single crystalline nanosheets were fabricated directly on flexible carbon cloth (CC) substrate by a one-step hydrothermal process. The vertically oriented nanosheets exhibited abundant active sites and low charge transfer resistance, resulting an enhanced electro-catalytic performance to the reduction of I3−. Dye-sensitized solar cells based on CuCo2S4@CC as a counter electrode achieved a high photovoltaic conversion efficiency of 7.68% versus Pt of 7.39%. This work provides a feasible approach to designing high-quality two-dimensional ternary chalcogenides for further applications in wearable electronic devices.
