Observing molecule‐membrane interactions: Quantifying molecular interactions at the surfaces of living cells is an important but experimentally non‐trivial task. The challenges stem in large part from the relatively diminutive surface area of the membrane compared to the vast volume of the extracellular bulk. The Minireview by Wilhelm and Dai explores applications of second harmonic light scattering, a surface‐ and interface‐sensitive technique, for time‐ and spatially resolved observation of molecular adsorption and transport at the membranes of living cells. More information can be found in the Minireview by Michael J. Wilhelm and Hai‐Lung Dai.
