Moreover, although the editorships of Nevin Scrimshaw, Irwin Rosenberg, and me have not been dallying over the last 4 decades, there is an expression: “Life begins at 40.” If this is true, then the mobilization of reflections, individual history narratives, archival publications, and visions of the future of research offerings over the course of this year will have revitalized the journal, which first placed its pages before us in October, 1979 as volume 1, issue 1 of the Food and Nutrition Bulletin.
