An extensive discussion of the state-of-the-art diffuse optical mammography is presented alongside a discussion of the current approaches to breast cancer therapies. Overall, the diffuse optics field is growing rapidly with a great deal of promise to fill an important niche in the current approaches to monitor, predict, and personalize neoadjuvant breast cancer therapies.
