Surface modification of nano Pd and its application in selective dechlorination reaction

Abstract Novel Pd catalysts were prepared with different metal promoters by wet impregnation method. And the catalytic performance of dichloroacetic acid (DCA) hydrogenation was studied in fixed-bed reactor. XRD and TEM were used to characterize the structure of catalysts. The results show that the additives of Ce, Fe and Ca can improve the uniformity of Pd particles, and change the particle size of Pd. The catalytic results show that additive of Ca exhibited the best catalytic performance of DCA hydrogenation, the residual DCA is only 0.01% and excessive dechlorination is effectively avoided.
