Conjugated Microporous Polymers with Rigid Backbones for Organic Solvent Nanofiltration

It is very challenging to develop highly permeable and selective polymer membranes for organic solvent nanofiltration. Recently in Nature Chemistry, Liang et al. reported conjugated microporous polymer membranes with all-rigid conjugated systems through a surface-initiated polymerization strategy; the membranes exhibited high resistance to organic solvents and high permeance for hexane and methanol.
