A modified Passerini‐type reaction has been developed for the facile synthesis of 2‐(2H‐chromenyl)‐oxazoles, in which 2H‐chromene hemiacetals instead of the usually used aldehydes were adopted as the key substrates. Derivation of a 2‐(2H‐chromenyl)‐oxazole to the respective 2H‐chromene peptide and 1‐(2H‐chromenyl)‐furan was further accomplished.
