In a study recently reported in Joule, Ozin and co-workers used In2O3−x(OH)y as a highly selective photothermal catalyst for the production of methanol by CO2 hydrogenation at atmospheric pressure. This work constitutes a significant step toward the incorporation of solar energy in the production of chemicals.
