Despite over 2 decades of increasingly effective medications, most people living with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in the United States are still not benefiting from these treatments. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimate that fewer than half (49%) of the 1.1 million Americans living with HIV have the virus controlled.1 With once-daily, well-tolerated regimens, how can this be?
