Nature's energy needs are met by systems of renewable resources. Light is used to activate reduction of CO2 while water is oxidized producing energy storage molecules like carbohydrates. Emulating such systems is a challenge. Here we report a visible light driven hybrid soft‐oxometalate based catalyst system that couples CO2 reduction with water oxidation with the highest turnover number of over 1780 per mole and turnover frequency of 534 h−1 of catalyst.
