JAMA Surgery is pleased to announce the appointment of Todd A. Schwartz, DrPH, MS, as Statistical Editor effective January 1, 2018. Dr Schwartz earned his MS and DrPH degrees in biostatistics from the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill. He currently serves as an associate professor in the Department of Biostatistics of the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the UNC at Chapel Hill. He also holds a joint faculty appointment in the UNC School of Nursing at the UNC at Chapel Hill as well as an adjunct appointment in the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy at the UNC at Chapel Hill.
