Palladium supported SBA-functionalizd 1,2-dicarboxylic acid: The first Pd-based heterogeneous synthesis of fluorenones

The first Pd-based heterogeneous homo- and cross-coupling reactions for the fluorenones synthesis are reported. The palladium supported SBA-functionalizd 1,2-dicarboxylic acid ([email protected]) was prepared and characterized by the FT-IR, TGA, AAS, TEM, and EDS measurements. The prepared catalyst exhibited a high performance in some homo and cross coupling reactions for the synthesis of fluorenone derivatives using 2-bromo or 2,7-dibromo fluorenone in ethanol-water as green solvent medium.
