Sexuality of individuals raises serious questions in many societies, especially if these sexualities are in the minority or seen as deviant by society. Recent attacks on homosexual men in Aceh in Indonesia and Chechnya, as well as changes in laws in Russia, raise important questions about the definition of sexuality. We believe that these categories are not as rigid as often assumed and most individuals have a degree of sexual fluidity. Thus, the issue of human rights related to sexual orientation and behaviour needs to change.
