JAMA Surgery thanks Julie Ann Sosa, MD, MA, for her tremendous service as Deputy Editor from 2015 through 2017. Dr Sosa will be assuming the role of Editor in Chief for The World Journal of Surgery effective January 1, 2018. We wish Dr Sosa all the best in her new adventure. She will be missed!

JAMA Surgery is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer F. Tseng, MD, MPH, as Deputy Editor effective January 1, 2018. Dr Tseng received her undergraduate degrees in English and Biology from Stanford University and her medical degree from University of California, San Francisco. She completed her general surgery residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. Dr Tseng also completed a research fellowship in molecular medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, followed by a clinical fellowship in surgical oncology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. She then obtained her Master of Public Health degree in clinical effectiveness from the Harvard University T. H. Chan School of Public Health.
