The front cover picture shows the transcription process in the nucleus of yeast and the translation process in the cytoplasm. The area with the blue background represents the nucleus and nucleopore on the nuclear envelope. We describe the termination principle of the yeast terminator in the nucleus: a hairpin structure (red) formed at the transcription level causes the RNA polymerase (blue ellipse) to fall off the DNA template. The green section shows the translation process of the gene in the cytoplasm. The tripolymer represents mRNA that is being translated, with the new protein emerging. The expression level of the protein can characterize the regulatory role of the yeast terminator. More information can be found in the full paper by G.
