Four new indium-based heterometallic MOFs In3M(IMDC)3(NO3)2(H2O)6·solvent (2-M, M = Mn, Co, Zn, Mg, H3IMDC = imidazole-4,5-dicarboxylic acid) have been made solvothermally. These materials exhibit 3D structures constructed from 1D In–IMDC helical chains. This system provides possibilities to modulate the gas adsorption and luminescence of the final materials by introducing different M2+ ions.
