Constructing new libraries: Conversion of a diversity-oriented fluorophore library to a library of fluorophore-modified peptide subunits of a ribonucleopeptide enabled construction of a library of fluorophore-modified receptors to a given target. Fluorescent biosensors with appropriate recognition characteristics for adenosine were screened from a library of fluorophore-modified adenosine-binding ribonucleopeptides.
