Thrive London, a city-wide movement for mental health supported by the Mayor of London, officially launched in July, 2017.1 Like other similar population health initiatives in other countries, most notably Thrive NYC, it aims to build a roadmap of risk to improve mental health across the city.2 London is the latest example following a trend of large urban centres taking a public health approach and engaging a range of stakeholders and people outside mental health services to build resilience and address the causes of mental health problems.
