Efficient Absorption of CO2 by Protic-Ionic-Liquid Based Deep Eutectic Solvents

This paper proposes the preparation of a series of binary deep eutectic solvents (DESs) by one-step mixing with the starting materials of protic ionic liquid (PIL) and amine. These DESs have convenience of synthesis, large absorption capacity, fast absorption rate, moderate interaction energy as well as good recyclability. They are believed to be as potential CO2 absorbent in practical application.
