This study presents a synthesis method for isoselenochromenes through nucleophilic selenocyclization of benzodiynes with sodium selenide. The isoselenochromenes were easily transformed into three new classes of organoselenium compounds using classical methods available in the literature. Various control experiments were conducted to propose a reaction mechanism.
