Photoredox catalysis has become a mainstay in synthetic methodology over the past decade. Herein, an efficient method for the synthesis of artemisinin G from artemisinin by using 0.5 mol % of TBADT as the catalyst was reported. The reaction proceeds smoothly and rapidly (complete within 30 min) at room temperature in high yield.
