Realization of single-photon emitters with high brightness and high stability and excellent monochromaticity

In order to achieve simultaneously high brightness, high stability, and excellent monochromaticity for a single-photon emitter (SPE) array in a monolayer WSe, we present a feasible strategy based on a controllable wrinkling technique combining the "top-down" with "bottom-up" micro/nano fabrication technology. The SPEs exhibit exceptional performance in the SPE generation probability up to about 70% and possess high single-frequency brightness and excellent emitting stability. Our innovative method represents a powerful generation method of SPEs in 2D semiconductors.
