The enaminone-linked COFs (En-COFs) are synthesized and firstly attempted for photocatalysis. Compared with the corresponding imine-linked COFs (Im-COFs) and quinoline-linked COFs (Qu-COFs) with almost identical structures but altered linkages, En-COFs possess boosted photocatalytic activity with extended light adsorption, facilitated exciton dissociation and improved stability, making them a promising platform for enhanced photocatalysis.
