We are planning to hire a postdoctoral fellow for antimalarial medicine research at the Department of Chemistry, University of Central Florida.  The fellow is responsible to optimize the potency of the lead compounds and identify the molecular target of the optimized compound. The candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in organic chemistry or polymer chemistry/materials, with extensive experience in small molecule, novel monomer synthesis. Although the fellow will have significant exposure to methodology development and/or natural product synthesis in our lab, the fellow must have medchem as a priority.
