Bright zeolites: A Ni/USY catalyst is synthesized successfully through a chemoselective interaction between the adscitious Ni salt and Al species in the USY zeolite crystal. This catalyst shows a high activity and selectivity in the hydrogenation of m-dinitrobenzene to m-phenylenediamine.
