DIY catalysts: Efficient Pd/Carbon catalysts are prepared using a simple experimental procedure based on the direct deposition of Pd⁰ species from a commercially available tris(dibenzylideneacetone)dipalladium(0) complex. Application in cross-coupling and hydrogenation reactions and easy catalyst recycling are demonstrated.
