Holey moly! The introduction of large pores is known to be an efficient method to overcome performance constraints of zeolites caused by diffusional limitations. The substitution of framework atoms with Ti is essential for epoxidation catalysis. Combining both post-synthesis steps provides high-performance epoxidation catalysts particularly for large substrates at significantly reduced cost.
