Highly reproducible on‐chip single‐molecule Raman detection is achieved by developing a two‐step photoreduction approach to incorporate surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) materials with microfluidics, as reported by Zhipeng Li and co‐workers in article number 1702893. The detection limit for various types of molecules can be as low as 10−13 m with reproducibility of about 50%. This work may lead to substantial advances in single‐molecule spectroscopy and quantitative SERS detection.
