An efficient and fast procedure for the synthesis of 15-O-glycosides of deoxynivalenol (DON) was developed, allowing access to isotope-labeled compounds. By using this method, DON-15-O-β-d-[¹³C₆]glucoside and DON-15-O-β-[¹³C₆]gentiobioside were prepared in reasonable amounts for characterization and use as reference materials for further investigations.
